Joe Ray VICTORIOUS – In Miami Herald!
October 14, 2008Joe Ray, ISKA Kickboxing Champion, just defended his title for the first time, dispatching his opponent with devastating strikes in the 2nd round by referee stoppage. His opponent’s face was bloodied badly early in the first round, this was the bloodiest kickboxing match any FFA fighter has ever participated in. With surgical precision, Joe was able to systematically dismantle his opponent’s defenses with sharp jabs, cross, hooks, uppercuts, body shots, leg kicks, body kicks, and head kicks. Joe disaplayed a complete arsenal of strikes, it was a very impressive preformance. Extraordinary credit to his opponent, Jesus Rodriguez, for displaying amazing heart by hanging in there and constantly going for the win. Joe has improved his record to 7-0.
Making his debut for FFA was also Lamberto Duarte. Lamberto did great in the first round, landing some stunning power punches. In the second round, his opponent got the upper hand and landed a perfect knee to the body, dropping Lamberto for the 10 count. It was his first fight, he did very well, and we are looking forward to seeing him back in the ring.
Impressively, that was FFA’s first kickboxing loss of the year! Despite how active we have been and the amount of fighters making debuts, we have only suffered one loss this year and are boasting an all-time kickboxing and boxing record of 37-8! This is all over the course of only 4 years – you are talking about almost one fight a month! Nice job FFA Kickboxing!
